Yesterday Justin made cupcakes from a Betty Crocker Super Moist box. They are so fluffy and spongey and chocolately it's like heaven. If heaven clouds were made of chocolate cake.
(for those of you on netflix, justin recommends the instant play, 2-part fantasy movie The Color of Magic set in Discworld).
Today's Question of the Day? is:
What did you have for lunch today?
Love,
The Asker

I had southwestern egg rolls. They were delicious!
Discworld as in ... Terry Pratchett?
Well, as everyone was home yesterday, I made hamburgers for lunch. Served with potato chips. But I did not have buns, as I bought the ground meat with a different purpose in mind, so I served them on big ole french bread slices.
Yesterday was an Inservice day so we did have time to go out for lunch. We chose Chick Fil A. I got a char grilled chicken sandwich and it was yummy!
leftover roasted eggplant pasta and steamed broccoli. Broccoli is a real specialty item here. Apparently it only grows in cold climates, so it must be imported from far away.
Homemade chili (beans, chicken, corn, tomato sauce, spices) and an orange. =]
Also, thank you for the recommendation, Justin! *adds*
End of round one. Two kids out the door.
Today's breakfast, by the way, was granola with berries, a berry puree and whipped cream as toppers. Yummy. I finished round one wearing the Viking hat. I might just wear it to take the third kid to school.
I would have liked to share GroovySabrina's lunch!!
And, since she brought up broccoli...
Yes, broccoli is a cold weather plant. Two smells that are easy to distinquish....broccoli farms and soybean plants.
Jackie, I agree, AND YES!
Anne, that just makes it sound more fancy
Mom, chik-fil-a is pretty good. Did you get some waffle fries?
Sabrina, brocolli? really? crazy!
TamiJean, that sounds good too
Anne, viking hat. I would like to see the hat collection at your house.
