it was actually sunshiney today

Dear QotD?ers,

Today we saw photo proof of the alligator in our fake lake. We were taking an afternoon walk and one of our neighbors showed us a picture. It's a big one! We still have not seen it ourselves, and I hope not to. That seems to be the only wildlife in our neighborhood. I wish we had more squirells and birds, but large trees are needed for that, I believe.

My most favorite 80's song is probably Tainted Love. It's fun to sing, and there are a lot of fun details, the cricket clickiting noise, the Where Did Our Love Go interlude... hooray!

Today's Question of the Day? is:
What is your favorite activity to do in the warm sunshine?

Love,
The Asker

Read a book in the sunshine and them take a little nap. You know, sort of like Alice. But I think for the sake of irony, I would escape my insane world filled with Dr. Fandango, Mr. SHSSF and Sweetie Pie with dreams of a calm, rational world.

By the way, when our dinner discussion found its way to QoTD, Bob immediately said his favorite song from the 80s was "Do You Really Want to Hurt Me?" and he said that his answer to Boy George was "YES!" Tsk tsk.

That brought us to a discussion of the Police. My entire family cannot abide the Police. Sigh. Bob went into a twenty minute rant about Stuart Copeland and how Copeland enhanced his drum playing with computers and WAS A CHEATER! Apparently Bob really admired the Police and the drumming until he discovered that it was not all Copeland on the drums and HE HAS NEVER GOTTEN OVER THIS. It was illuminating.

And finally, one of my top picks would have to be Devo's "Speed Racer" because I loved the line "I'm a barbie doll and I've got brains. Lots of brains and I love...."

Well, there are children on this blog.

*laughs* Nap. That's right. Warm sunshine activity is napping. Or maybe swimming, followed by floating on something inflatable and napping.

I think having a large alligator in my neighborhood would give me the oogly booglies. *goosebumps*

I frolic around singing songs of happiness and joy.

It depends on the sunshine. I try not to do anything in the sunshine here. Sunshine is like a broiler, intense and hazardous. If it's sunny, I want to be under a tree or an umbrella or a fan.

Further away from the equator, with a gentler sunshine, naps on soft grass or picnics are nice.

It´s nice to be somewhere with shade, either under a tree at a park or umbrella on a patio or at the beach. Refreshing drinks and good company are the best ways to spend a sunny afternoon.

What is this "warm sunshine" you speak of?

Heck, what is this "sunshine"? I haven't seen the sun in weeks :(

(And I agree with those who say nap. Nothing like a good nap on a summer day)

Going to park and feeding the ducks while Matthew plays Disc Golf.

Dear The Asker,
Spring is here, a-suh-puh-ring is here.
Life is skittles and life is beer.
I think the loveliest time of the year is the spring.
I do, don't you? 'Course you do.
But there's one thing that makes spring complete for me,
And makes ev'ry Sunday a treat for me.
All the world seems in tune
On a spring afternoon,
When we're poisoning pigeons in the park.
Ev'ry Sunday you'll see
My sweetheart and me,
As we poison the pigeons in the park.
-That's what I do in the warm sunshine. Tom Lehrer and I go to poison pigons in the park.
By the way, Dr. Demento, Dr. Who, Dr. Phil, Dr. Horrible all great freinds of mine.

Sincerly,
Dr. Fandango, collector of ridiculous things

Genesis!! That was just mean!!

Besides, I already know how he feels about Phil Collins.

Phil Collins sat in for John Bonham for a Led Zeppelin reunion in the 80s. NEVER mention that to Bob.

"That is like having Hitler sit in for Jesus!!"

That just sends him over the edge, that does.

By the way, I listened to the Police a bit yesterday and am now really frustrated because I can now HEAR the computer fill-ins. IT does change everything once you know.
