I want to ride my ...

Dear QotD?ers,

I went to the grocery store for a few items for lunch... ON MY BIKE!
Flash in the Tan, or Flash for short

Yeah, I thought of that name all on my own during the uphill ride to the store.
We have like a dozen shrubbery species in our front flower bed. I don't think they look good together. At somepoint this spring Justin and I are going to have to invest in a shrubbery shovel and a hedge trimmer.

Today's Question of the Day? is:
When is the last time you rode a bicycle?

Love,
The Asker

I don't remember the last time I rode a bicycle. I was scared of the people on bicycles in college, they were fearless and would run you over without a second thought.

Right now, I can't remember.

I know about a month before Mike and Vanessa's wedding I fell (well.... kinda fell over while trying to stop by a curb) and decided I would not ride my bike any more before the wedding.

Thankfully I did not get hurt...just my feelings as I was in front of the house.... (my cousin had broken her ankle while
riding her bike and had a cast/crutches for her daughter's wedding about a month before).

Then at some point we got rid of the two bikes that we had...... and just got an excercise bike....which we no longer have....

This question is bittersweet for me since I love biking and I used to see my bicycle almost as an extension of my self. The last time I rode was when I enthusiastically bought a bike in DC and then very disappointedly never rode again as all the city traffic freaked me out.

The last time I remember riding a bike was when Jessica was still little. We had a bike trailer and Jessica (sometimes Nick, as well) would ride in the trailer. That had to be about 4 years ago.

I was never a big fan of bike riding. Bikes equal speed. Speed is bad.

Well, it has been a long time ago. We used to take family bike rides all over the neighborhood when the kids were little. One of my first dates with my husband was a bike trip around Lubbock. I can not remember the last time I was on a bike, but I do like bikes and I especially like yours, Asker, easy on, easy off!

Last time I rode a bike was within the last three years, but I can't remember exactly when. I don't have anywhere to store a bike in my apartment except IN my apartment, and I know myself too well to think I'd be willing to haul that sucker up and down three flights of stairs any time I wanted to take a ride.

A bike is on my wishlist for after I get a house, though! I doubt I'll be able to come up with as awesome a name as you did. *laughs*

This morning.

I ride to and from the boys' house and campus quite often. Unfortunately, your bike is much prettier than mine!

Angel-A, I agree, they were frightful.

Mom, I remember that injury. I dont' remember it being that close to the wedding!

Sabrina, I couldn't imagine riding a bike in a big city. I'm thankful that I've got empty sidewalk along the way to the grocery store.

Anne, oo, a bike trailer!

2nd Mom, that is a great date idea.

TamiJean, oh, you are plenty punny. I'm sure your bike will have an awesome name.

Jackie, Yay! You are winning for best bike-rider!

Well I don't know what a bike is so I can't answer your question. I've never rode a (well what you call a bike) or any other dangerous kind of thing!
Love,
Sweetie Pie

I rode it a few times this summer. I hate my bike though.

Sweetie Pie, bikes can be quite wonderful and fun, as long as you ride them safely.

Jessi, that's dissapointing, Did you always hate your bike?

yeah, kind of, because it's not a good bike for me. It's a road bike, and I'd really rather a hybrid or light mountain bike. The design of it is made for going long distances quickly, and that's not my bike riding style.

We spent a lot of money on it, which I really didn't want to do- but I think Kevin thought if I got it I'd be more likely to ride with him (and he loves the long distances, quickly, biking method) and it just didn't work. I'd rather a bike that was easy to ride to the store or mall, but not fancy.
