Big news and no shoes!

Dear QotD?ers,
.
I happen to have a lot of glow-in-the-dark stars that I received as Christmas Presents. I'm going to use them extensively... IN OUR NEW HOUSE! That's right, Justin and I are taking advantage of the market, the tax break, and our need to get out of this crazy town and buying a house. Closing is supposed to happen around the middle of the month, but we'll have about 6 weeks to move stuff from our apartment to our home.
Back to the point, I'm thinking the Leonids will be in the master bedroom, the guest bedroom will have the big & little dippers, the other bedroom will have some other assorted constellations and I haven't decided where I want to put my favorite constellation: Orion's belt (and the rest of him).
.
This weekend we saw the X-men: Wolverine movie. I am a huge fan of Hugh Jackman's hair in this movie. Don't tell anyone, but I snuck in some pretzle sticks!
.
Today's Question of the Day? is:
.
If work/stores/resteraunts allowed it, would you participate in National Go Barefoot Day today?
.
Hmm, I think I'll wear some flats that slip on and participate furtively!

for when the lights go out

Dear QotD?ers,
.
I was so flattered to hear that I made your homepage! Now I feel like I should have a daily picture of me smiling and waving to you or something.
My home homepage is hotmail. My work homepage is the corporate intranet site. that's right, intranet.
I finished up most of the laundry tonight, which included some ironing. But it went by really fast and I was surprised. Perhaps it was because I was watching the 2 hour season premeir of So You Think You Can Dance. I haven't finished it yet, so don't tell me anything!
.
Today's Question of the Day? is:
.
If you had a lot of glow-in-the-dark stars and a tall person to help you adhere them to the ceiling, what patterns would you chose? random? constilations? your own connect the dots? something else entirely?

Do not make a 127.00.1 joke.

Dear QotD?es,
.
Work was crazy busy and stressfull. Oh man, I need to put clothes in the drier, brb
~walks to laundry room~
~comes back~ man those brownies in the kitchen smell good.
.
I appreciate the acceptance you guys have of my spelling and gramatical errors. If I was doing this as a professional, I might spell check and pay more attention. But this is more of a personality art. Along with my personality comes my inability to spell calendar, tommorrow and use punctuation wrong. I do try to keep from ending sentinces with prepositions.
.
Today's Question of the Day? is:
.
What's your internet homepage?

Tommorroww I will be doing good.

Dear QotD?ers,
.
I had a long, lovely holiday weekend with some good friends in a completely different state. As in: Colorado instead of Texas. As in: I Saw Snow instead of Turn On the AC. I'm really greatful that Justin and I have these sorts of friends and also that we can travel to see them.
Some of you are now thinking, "Well, how come you haven't come to visit me yet?" I don't have a good answer, but perhaps we should look at our calendars and consider a few weekends we both have free. I know an "anytime" does not hold us to an obligation, no matter how wonderful that obligation will be. We still have 2 weddings and a family reunion this summer and some other assorted events taking up weekends, so send me an e-mail and we can get serious!
.
This vacation had a downside. ok, well two. one was a live tick I discovered crawling between my 1st and 2nd layer of clothing. Two was getting home at midnight and having to get up at 6am. Today was hard. But it's over! And tonight we will definatley get to sleep at an earlier time. hooray!
.
Today's Question of the Day? is:
.
Do my misspellings and gramatical errors bother you?
.

How about you?

Dear QotD?ers,
.
My throwing muscles hurt. Not because I was actually throwing something, but because I was imaginary throwing something with the wii-mote. phew!
.
I would like to thank everyone for their input. I am still accepting suggestions and trying to decide which to get, but I'm knocking out Choice #3 (Pi-rates) and Choice #5 (square).
.
Memorial Day is coming up, and I'm taking advantage of my already long weekend and making it longer. This will be the last QotD? of the week. If you really feel the need to stay connected, keep posting in comments and finding me funny shirts!
.
Today's Question of the Day? is:
.
Which of the shirts would you most like to wear?

What to wear....

Dear QotD?ers,
. (Updated from original posting: added Choice #9)
(Todays is a long one, so be prepared) (also, the spacing gets weird because Blogger is not a WYSIWYG)
.
You should probably know the #1 group in my collection: The Beatles. #2: Dave Matthews Band. #3: Juanes. Seriously. My brother-in-law (Cuñao) went to Spain for a year and came back with all this latin pop music. I may not remember much of my high school spanish, but I know that Juanes makes some pretty dancy songs.
.
You know how I keep talking about green shoes? I am making an official announcement. If you pass by a ShoeCarnival store and are inclined to go inside to look.. Brand : Soda (light green boxes), Style : Hairdo-S, Color : green (not tobacco or black), size : 7, location in store : clearance section in back (I don't know why, because the 'tobacco' ones are still with the rest of the shoes). Buy them, send me an e-mail so I can confirm that you are the first (if for some odd reason a couple of you buy me shoes in one day), and I'll have you mail them to me, then I will cut you a check and send you a gift!
.
You may not remember that thes shoes were my '10lb weight loss goal, hooray!' I have officially reached my 15lb weight loss goal, the reward of which is 'Nerd Tshirt.'

.
Today's Question of the Day? is:
.
Of the following shirts, what are your top choice(s)?
or
Do you have any suggestions for my Nerd Shirt?
or
Both of the above

Choice #1
Dinosaurs are fun

Choice #2: great for time travel or long lines at an amusement park

Choice #3: another Pi shirt

Choice #4: another chemistry shirt

Choice #5: a math shirt

Choice #6: a Rube Goldberg, also, it makes toast!

Choice #7: It's from a video game. In particular, from the closing credits song sung by the artificially intelegent testing computer. Aperture Laboratories, We do what we must, because we can. (with logo)
.
Choice #8: Another Pi Shirt. A conversation between numerical representatives
.
Choice #9: Another Chemistry shirt. radioactive elements glow-in-the dark. I'm not really a fan of this particular medicine pill themed design, so if you know of another version, please let me know.

.

open the door, get on the floor, everybody do the dinosaur

Dear QotD?ers,
.
The last wedding I went to was today! It was an outdoor wedding and a beautiful day for it. Also, there were reece's pieces. I loved those so much.
.
Most people who use the internet realize that TYPING IN ALL CAPS IS ESSENTIALLY YELLING AND CAN BE CONSIDERED RUDE, OR AT LEAST HARD TO READ WHEN USED FOR ENTIRE PARAGRAPHS. AM I RIGHT? IF YOU ARE STILL USING ALL CAPS WHEN WRITING E-MAILS OR POSTINGS ON THE INTERNET, stop, it makes you look ignorant of internet manners. I bring this up because there are many realtors that will post their listing descriptions IN ALL CAPS! GREAT BREAKFAST NOOK! COZY FIREPLACE FOR THOSE COLD NIGHTS! MELT AWAY YOUR STRESS IN THE GARDEN TUB! 1) since when does Houston have cold nights that require a fireplace? 2) don't use exclamation points so much. It reads like a puppy describing his love for BACON!
.
Anyway, we are still in the process of this house thing. Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers as we make the biggest financial decision of our life thus far.
.
Today's Question of the Day? is:

Looking at your CD (or digital download) collection, what are the three artists of which you have the most ?

ding dong the bells are gonna chime!

Dear QotD?ers,
.
I enjoy both. Yesterday I had a fudgicle and today I had a brownie. mmm.
I'm very glad that the work week is almost over and I'm excited aout our next round of house hunting that will happen on Saturday morning. I hope we get to see some good houses that make our choice clearer. After that, we will be driving up to my parents' house (hitting every Shoe Carnival on the way) to spend some time with them. On Sunday, Justin's cousin is getting married! I'll cry, and then we'll have family time with everyone during the recpetion, I imagine. Then back home in the evening. Hmm. I wonder when we will grocery shop.

Today's Question of the Day? is:

What was the last wedding you went to?

they are both chocolate!

Dear QotD?ers,
.
I just got done watching the LOST season finale with Justin. That show is so crazy. It's really to explain just how crazy it is to someone who has never seen it. I don't want to spoil it for anyone who recorded it, so you better not either. I'll just say this: WHITE! WHITE WITH BLACK LETTERS!
.
I'm filling in for a guy on vacation this week. We'll call him Phillip Prince. I've said the following phrase, or it's equivallent, at least 5 times a day: "I'm Phillip today." That's my odd thing that makes no sense out of context.
.
Today's Question of the Day? is:
.
Would you rather have a fudgicle or a brownie?

"I thought you looked different...."

Dear QotD?ers,
.
My main source of news would be NPR during commutes and CNN.com during breaks at work. Occasionally we'll have the local news on the TV as we get ready in the morning or when we get home in the afternoon. Or Justin will put on FOX News and listen to Pretty Boy talk while he starts dinner.
.
I kept very busy at work today. This was a good thing as I didn't have time to get sleepy or bored. (just like every other person with every other job, Kristen, sheesh). We ate lunch outside, again, because it was very pleasant. And once again, our vanpool arrived to work 25 minutes early and left 15 minutes late. Good thing the vanpools from the other town are much more reasonable. Or even just driving ourselves would save us a good hour every day. Just think of what I'll do with all that time after we move..... ~thinks~
.
Today's Question of the Day? is:
.
What is one phrase you said today or conversation you were part of, that would have been very confusing if taken out of context? (or, you can make something up and tell us the background)
.

Top Stories

Dear QotD?ers,
.
I think an arm cast would be more difficult. Putting on non-button up shirts would be difficult!
.
I still need to finish watching Dancing with the Stars tonight, so I'll keep this short. This also is helpful because there wasn't a whole lot going on today. Though I will be having a chocolate ice cream and strawberries treat in a few minutes. hoora!
.

I hope you can't answer this from experience

Dear QotD?ers,
.
This weekend was the 10-year anniversary celebration of Percussion Studio. Many former members all turned up to see the spring show. It was so great to see everyone and I love seeing a Percussion Studio show. There was a very unfortunate 'first' that night. The current Pres, while playing his trashcan-lid cymbals and jumping around with intense awesomeness, fell, at a horribly wrong angle, on a step. I think he broke leg/ankle bones in three places and now has a titanium rod and pin. That is one man who will go down in Percussion Studio history. Say some prayers for him, because he still has some finals left.
.
Now for some happier news. I finished a book this afternoon that had a happy ending. Also, I posted my April update to my livejournal.
.
Today's Question of the Day? is:
.
Which would be more difficult to adapt to: a cast on your leg or a cast on your arm?

I CAN'T STOP THINKING ABOUT THE SLAP CHOP!

Dear QotD?ers,
.
They are making us swap to Office 2007 at work (have been using Office 2003). I have been very hesitant to swap since I have lots of spreadsheets and models that I'm afraid won't work! So I have done nothing. And I haven't said anything about while I'm visiting the IT hallway. And every once in a while I'll ask Justin "They won't make me swap, will they?" with fear in my voice. In the meantime, my computer has come up for replacement. and it's arrived. and all the new computers will have Office 2007. At one point there were 4 people from the IT department in my office as we discussed a program that I'll need to have on my new computer, but don't take my old computer away until budget season is over. Ok, they'll store it in a safe place. But, why can't I store it in my cabinet and lock it up, please? The story ends with me being assured that Monday I'll have three computers in my office. My old desktop, my new desktop, and the laptop I use for one of my Monday tasks. I am going to feel awesome. And extremely important.
.
My phone is red and black! sporty!

Dear QotD?ers,
.
Today we carpooled to lunch after a big meeting. The location of lunch was not communicated very well. Our car went to the Chinese Buffet and everyone else went to Carino's. Thank goodness they were across the street from each other.
.
I've never purchased anything from a tv advertisement, but I did by SHAMWOW! at the state fair. I got a ped-egg for Christmas. I've been extremely tempted to get a Split-Ender, but I can never find enough convincing product reviews to justify that revolutionary hair care appliance.

Stop having boring tuna. Stop having a boring life.

Dear QotD?ers,
.
Please refer to Justin's list. That stuff is on our fridge. Also, a picture of my cat, a picture of my oldest neice from 3 years ago, paper towel dispenser, my coloring of a dinosaur picture and 3 postcards from Cuñao.
.
Usually I don't foist random stuff on you guys, but my older sister-in-law found this "rap" and I had to listen to it 8 times in a row. I'm just giving you the youtube link. It's a remix of a 'slap chop' commercial by Vince, the Sham-WOW! guy. It makes me laugh and want to dance, and that's saying something for an infomercial.
.
Today's Question of the Day? is:
.
Have you ever bought anything advertised "As Seen On TV," from an infomercial, or from a shopping channel?

Pizza coupons, loved ones, abstract art..

Dear QotD?ers,
.
Do you ever get frustrated by rediculous things? Like, I'm playing this game. And one objective is to let this orphan kid follow you around while you show it how to do tough things. Like capture the flag in your enemy's tower. So I did all of that, and didn't get credit! That's a pretty rediculous thing to get frustrated by, but I did.
.
I really enjoy playing Bananagrams, Apples to Apples and Hit or Miss (Jackie, this is the one with lists). I love Clue, but don't get to play it often. Balderdash is fun, but I don't think I've ever completed a full game. Also: pictionary, trivial persuit and spoons. We are going to have to try Settlers of Catan and Killer Bunnies. FYI: when The Beatles edition of Rock Band comes out on 9/9/9, I will love it most.

Dear QotD?ers,

It's a new week! Will it be a great one for you? I hope so! I don't have a theme picked out for this week.
My weekend involved some travel, seeing family, eating food and playing two fabulous games, Bananagrams and Apples to Apples.
