weeeekend

Dear QotD?ers,

My answer would have been 'yes, i'm a cold natured person, so I could live without the AC' BUT. Wednesday I had to go outside in the middle of the day and the heat and humidity were so thick I almost couldn't breath. It was misssssserable. People who have to work out in that amaze me. So my new answer is 'not on the gulf coast.. but probably anywhere else if I had a good breeze... but not the gulf coast, please don't make me do it.'

OK, here's some big news. That tropical disturbane that was just aiming for Florida has now decided to become a Tropical Storm and Bonnie heard about the great air conditioning we have here in Texas, so she's changed her travel plans to arrive more westerly than Florida. I'll keep you updated if our lives are impacted by this bothersom potential guest.

Today's Question of the Day? is:
Do you have any big plans for this weekend?

It'd get hot.

Dear QotD?ers,

Sorry about the absence yesterday. I wasn't feeling good so I went to bed early. Wow you get a lot of sleep when that happens! But man, I didn't have time for anything else.

If I was subject to a request by a British man at an intersection, I'd probably giggle and not be able to answer.

Today's Question of the Day? is:
Could you live without air conditioning?

Pardon me, do you have any?

Dear QotD?ers,

Ketchup, yellow mustard, poppyseed dressing, worshestershire sauce, steak sauce, soy sauce, tobasco.. and that's all without going to look!

Two different news sources today were telling me about people's desire to drink raw, unpastuerized milk. Those people are crazy. Pastuerization is what keeps us from getting diseases, people! If you are drinking raw milk, please follow my advice and stop. There's no gaurantee that raw milk doesn't have cow poop germs. That does NOT do a body good.

Today's Question of the Day? is:
If you were parked at an intersection and the car next to you rolled down it's window and an old British man wanted to ask you a question, would you share your grey poupon, mint gum, or other item he requested, laugh uproariously, or something else altogether?

in the shelves in the door.

Dear QotD?ers,

I have to dissapoint you. I didn't do anything particularly Mucky on Friday. I went to work, but that's not quite enough. And I didn't make up for it this weekend either. It was pretty lazy - recovering from a long work day with movies, tv shows, reading (ooh I love to read!). I did encounter some productivity when I took the recyling to the center and stopped by the library. and I may have folded some clothes on Friday night. Well, it thought of something. let's see if you gals will accept this. It had been a week or so, so I shaved my legs while wearing a clay mask. that's sorta mucky, right?

Today's Question of the Day? is:
What condiments are in your refrigerator RIGHT NOW?

MUCKY-MUCK!

Dear QotD?ers,

I use shampoo and conditioner. If I'm in a rush, or am really tired and don't want to spend so much time on a shower, I will use Justin's 2-in-1. Shh, don't tell him.

As of today, both of my parents are retired. Congratulations Dad! (Mom, pass that message on please. We'll call this weekend to discuss wells and windmills.) They are going to be full of adventure stories, I just know it.

Assuming you are reading this on Friday, It's the 9th Annual Mucky-Muck Day! A day when everyone is encouraged to do something mucky. This may include actual muck, dirt, grime or filth, or just be a tedious task that is onerous an zero fun.

Today's Question of the Day? is:
What are you going to do (or have you already done) for Mucky-Muck Day!?

for hair

Dear QotD?ers,

About the only frozen treat I can actually remember getting from an icecream truck is ninja turtle ice cream with bubblegum eyes. radical!

Sometimes I feel very powerful at work. Today, beyond all the frustration, was one of those days. I'm sure tomorrow it will go back to normal. so intense.

Today's Question of the Day? is:
shampoo? conditioner? two-in-one?

THERE'S MUSIC!

Dear QotD?ers,

If I ever saw a double rainbow in person, I would be delighted. Rainbows are a great feature of nature with a fantastic science explanation. WAVELENGTHS!
There's a crazy guy on the internet that saw one and made a video of his reaction: which was crazy. Then some other people on the internet made it into a song. There is a bleeped word near the end, so view/listen at your own discretion. The song cracks me up!

I know that a strawberry popscicle is not ice cream, but it is close enough, when it comes from an ice cream truck. Today I had a chocolate cone!

Today's Question of the Day? is:
What's your favorite frozen treat from an ice cream truck?

double rainbow all the way across the sky

Dear QotD?ers,

Once, at a fancy wedding reception, the dinner included three types of mashed potatoes: sweet, regular and something else. It seemed so decadent, having three potatoes on one plate. I was incredibly tickled and enjoyed them all!

Today was ice cream day at work. I got a strawberry popsicle.

Today's Question of the Day? is:
What does a double rainbow mean to you?

mmmmmmmmmm, potatoes

Dear QotD?ers,

Did you see that? Our weekend guest commented on the last post! Thanks Moana, we are so glad you could come. We ate good food, saw Toy Story 3 (and cried, except for Justin, who denies crying), and played about every non-traditional boardgame we own. And all the while we chatted and gossiped and told stories about our lives. It was the best sort of weekend.
Today's Question of the Day? is:
What is your best potato eating experience? Don't have one? make one up!

not-Kofi is coming!

Dear QotD?ers,

The bear in my caroon movie would be a koala (not a real bear, but it's my movie) and his friend would be a walabi. These two would have fun, australian accented adventures in their hot air baloon looking for the last kukabura in a gum tree.

In other news, a great friend of mine is flying into town in the afternoon. It may be rainig a lot, limiting our activities to those indoors.

Today's Question of the Day? is:
What activities do you like to do with out of town guests?

bears in baloons

Dear QotD?ers,

I think you know what I want more of for year three: more participation! Having a personal blog is totally sweet, but when you QotD?ers join in, it becomes a conversation. If you don't like my question, you don't have to answer it. You could comment on the random story I've shared with you, or share your own. I won't mind. TamiJean and Anne do it all the time and it's a lot of fun. I know you are out there... reading this.. all sneaky like.
Also, I REALLY want to get motivated and do Choose Your Own QotD? Adventure this year.

It started raining again today. Good news though, Hurricane Bonnie won't be making her debut this week. I am particularly glad about this because I have a friend flying in for the weekend and I'd hate for her to have to cancel or come to us with San Antonio when we evacuate.

Today's Question of the Day? is:
What animal would you choose to pair with a bear* in a cartoon movie about hot air baloons?

Love,
The Asker

*bear type of your choice

telll me

Dear QotD?ers,

It's about time I answer some of my own questions:
7/6: For the 4th, we packed up some bug repellent, two camp chairs and drove out to the frontage road to watch fireworks. We found this spot last year, and it's pretty great! And then I sang along with the radio on the ride home. They were playing patriotic songs. I really impressed Justin with my singing of the 1812 Overature.
6/29: As Queen, I would force everyone to understand what a kolache is, and how it is different than a pig-in-a-blanket.
6/28: We really only know the good neighbors and the Canadians. I've talked to a few of the others. I still have this plan that we are going to invite our immediate neighbors (all around) for a homemade icecream party some summer weekend.

Good! now that we have all of that squared away, on to the question!!!!! !!

Today's Question of the Day? is:
What do you want to see more of from QotD?as we go into the third year of blog form?

Love,
The Asker

I'm tracking your activities.

Dear QotD?ers,

I would get QotD? blog some question mark socks. Of course, I'd get myself a pair to match.

It has been an eventful weekend. We went roller skating on Saturday night with one of my high-school friends. I hadn't been since Junior High, and started off a little wobbly. By the end of the evening I was doing great... until... UNTIL... the end of the girls-only song, as Stacy and I were getting off the floor, I totally bit it. I fell back, and I'm still not sure how I landed, but based on my aches and pains, I'm guessing I held onto a railing with my right hand - taking most of the fall impact, then onto my butt and right forearm. I have no bruises, surprisingly enough. Then tonight we went over to a couple's house for dinner and played 3 board games with them! Cascarones, Robots and Space Depot. It was a lot of fun. Man, I like having friends that want to play games.

Today's Question of the Day? is:
What did you do for 4th of July?
