on your feet

Dear QotD?ers,

According to wikipedia, in the 8th century BC, the ancient Greeks wore socks from matted animal hair for warmth. On a personal note, I used to hate socks but I really started to love them when I got my first pair of 'novelty' socks from Mom. They were red&silver, gray&silver, blue&silver from Old Navy. Thanks Mom!

There was a quarter-sized frog on the driver side window of our car this morning. He drove all the way to Target with us. I hope he finds some nice bushes to make a new home....

Today's Question of the Day? is:
.
To learn about a subject that interests you, would you rather read a book, watch a documentary or see a museum exibit?
.
Love,
The Asker
.

I suppose "read a book" is the closest to what I like to do.

I go online and pull up the first five to ten websites that look knowledgeable and useful, read those, then follow links on those pages until I get bored.

Probably watch a documentary, go online, then
read a book,
Wish I had the time to completely
delve into a butterfly garden.

I'd also probably Google it first and see what's out there. If it looks really neat, I'd probably want to try it out, like a demo kit or something.

I am going with the 20th century answer on this question. I would go to a library or bookstore and search for books to read. And if I really wanted to learn more, I would take a class.

All of them! I love reading, but who doesn't love a good museum exhibit?!

Reading a book is what I used to do. Now, a documentary is what I prefer because at least it keeps me from checking my email and hopefully gives me a well-informed perspective without me having to piece it together.

I'm with Tamijean & Justin on step 1.

I'd probably read the article from what I treat like the infallible source for all of life's many mysteries, Wikipedia, since it's always the first hit on a google search. I would then try to discuss it with people who would subsequently get bored.
