Did anybody get that it was deoderant?

Dear QotD?ers,

Over the weekend my illness went from my throat to my nose. I'm actually very surprised by how great my throat feels compared to Friday. My voice is still gravely, though. No fever today, so I came to work with some medicine and some oatmeal*.

Jelly Belly jelly beans are amazing.

Today's Question of the Day? is:
What was the last movie you watched (either in the theatre or at home)?
Love,
The Asker
P.S. *Apples & Cinnamon!

Hmmm, do half-movies count?

I watched Hellboy 2 in the theater on Saturday - great movie, very much on par with the first one.

But last night I watched the first half of The Hogfather (good heavens that's a long movie!).

"Bee Movie"--- Jacob's favorite line was when the bee was accusing humans of taking names from bees and in the list he mentioned "BeeJesus." After "Bee Movie," the boys had rented some movies for themselves and then Jessica and I watched "Hairspray."

One time, I had to punish the boys by making them sit and watch "West Side Story!" There is no greater threat than "I will make you watch a musical with your sister!"

I'm glad you asked!

We rented an Afghani movie called Osama, which is tragic yet beautifully done. If anyone is interested in what life is like under the Taliban in Afghanistan, I highly recommend this movie.

It's about a young girl from a destitute family who has to pose as a boy to provide for the family. A huge number of the men in Afghanistan have died in the wars of the past few decades, leaving only women, who are not allowed to work or go to school under the Taliban.

Yesterday afternoon I watched Life is Beautiful for the first time. It was pretty great.

But then yesterday evening Hellboy was on FX and we watched it because Hellboy 2 looks like an amzing movie

A couple of weeks ago I saw "Iron Man" with an acquaintance then a week or two before that the boyfriend and I saw "The Incredible Hulk" with his brother. I plan on seeing "The Dark Knight" when I'm in Dallas and maybe "Hellboy 2" as well.

What a coincidence groovysabrina, that's the last movie I saw too.

Before that I saw Thank you for Smoking and it brought back memories of the good ol' days.

mystic pizza.

mike wouldn't watch it with me.

but the dogs and cats did, and it was pretty OK for an 80's coming of age movie.

note: i slept through some of it. i can't help it, that's what i do during movies.
