puzzzzzzles

Dear QotD?ers,

If you haven't already changed your clocks because of Daylight Savings Time, DO IT NOW! QUICK! You are probably already late to something! Oh wait, some of you are on spring break. Whatever. Can you tell I'm jealous. Because I am.

Also, This Sunday was Pi Day! 3.14 I wore my Pi shirt, my Pi earrings, my cherry Pi necklace and ate pizza pi for lunch. PI TASTIC!!!!!!!!!!! I hope you did some pi themed celebration.

Today's Question of the Day? is:
Do you like puzzles? what's your favorite kind?

Love,
The Asker

My favorite puzzles to try to solve are the "who done it" on mystery shows. I like to try to analyze motive, method and trickery used to mislead the viewer away from the real villian.

Oh, my all time favorite puzzle is the daily scavneger hunt for missing socks, belts or wallets! It is such a great puzzle, as there has never been an identified or self-confessed culprit.

It is National Birthday Month, for all of you that may not be aware. (I think Jackyln might be aware.) I have three family members with March birthdays. Break out the cake and ice cream!

My favorite puzzles are the logic puzzles with a handful of "clues" up above and a grid that needs to be filled out down below. "Johnny got his hair cut on Saturday, is wearing paisley pants, and hates broccoli"

I'm terrible at them, mind you, but I love them.

I do like puzzles. I like jigsaw puzzles, logic puzzles, 3-d puzzles.......really puzzles of any kind. I am not necessarily good but I do enjoy the challenge.

We celebrated Pi day with homemade
coconut custard pie(Martin's favorite) Matthew was home to enjoy as well.

Do adventure games with puzzles count? Monkey Island is my absolute fav-ARRGH-ite.

BTW, if anyone remembers playing the old ones, there is a new one out now that is AWESOME! If any QotD?'ers would like the old ones, I should still have them around somewheres...

For anyone with a Wii, World of Goo is also pretty amazingly great.

@ Kathleen,

And whose birthdays are those? Martin? Matthew?

I know you and Kristen have fall birthdays. Kristen's is in the other National Birthday Month, which is a big month but only one person in my immediate family participates in that.

Our big dates are the 6th, 19th and 31st. Somebody in my home is sure excited about the end of this week!!

I LOVE PUZZLES!!!!!!!!! They are so addicting! Ever since I started a Dragon Puzzle at my Grandma's house I have been so addicted. I started the Dragon puzzle because I wanted to destroy it when I was done because I hate dragons. I didn't finish it but I found another Dragon puzzle at my house but it did not have all it's pieces. So I guess my favorite puzzles are Dragon ones!

Sincerly Mr. BlablablaSmiles
P.S. If I were to say this to somebody, like actually talk to them, I would have said this in 5 sec.

I do like puzzles. I think my favorites are ones that aren't too hard and not too easy. I hate not being able to finish. For "logic puzzles" I like the crossword type puzzles where you have all the words and an empty grid, and you have to figure out how to put them all in there.

I also like jigsaw puzzles. Early in our marriage Kevin and I got a "puzz- 3D" we had both always wanted one as kids, and now we were going to get it! It was actually kind of fun. We also have quite a few jigsaw puzzles.

Everyday I do the sudoku and crossword puzzles in the Bat. I like the crossword better, but I'd have to say that jigsaw puzzles are probably my favorite.

Wow - lots of March birthdays!

I forgot that Gwyneth's birthday is in March!! Wow! Has that time flown by or what??

I was once earned the nickname Mrs. Eugene T. Maleska, of which I was very proud. I never got in enough practice with puzzle by Will Shortz to get any accolades, though. My deepest affections are for crossword puzzles.

There are signs around town that say "RUN OFF 4/13." One of my brood read the sign as "Run off four thirteenths??" Neither of us could make sense of that until I saw another sign and realized it was a DATE, not a FRACTION.

Daily life is a puzzle for us!!

National Birthday Month, Jacklyn!! Iffin I add your dad to the mix, I know of 15 people with March birthdays!!

2nd Mom, Those are a lot of fun, and come in bite size 60 minute pieces!

Anne, that's a crazy puzzle game! I remember eating birthday cake all the time when I worked for you.

TamiJean, oh, I love those too!

Mom, puzzles and pi. mmm

Husband, puzzles + technology? I want a cookie!

Mr. Super Happy Sunshine Smiles, whew! you sure do talk fast. Sounds like someone was able to destroy that 2nd dragon puzzle before you even got to it. You have an ally!

Skittl, I love that you do puzzles together!

Jackie, I wish there had been Soduko in the Batt back in my day. lucky!
