cheer me

Dear QotD?ers,

Tody, work was very stressfull. And it was rainy, so we couldn't even enjoy a picnic lunch outside. Ug. I did have a few cookies for dessert, and they were pretty good so that helped some. But overall, I'll be glad when it is early May and this big work project is over with.

Today's Question of the Day? is:
Would you write me a short poem to cheer me up?

Love,
The Asker

Today is Thursday
It's almost... May
We love you Kristen
And always will
Perhaps the alligator
will fall into a ....well!

There once was a girl named Kristen
Who loved to bathe in a cistern
Her hair was quite lovely
Her complexion quite fair
Nobody knew she was really a
CHEER BEAR!

Gah, I am so bad at poetry it's ridiculous.

*hugs* I hope you have a way better day today, madam.

Kristen's the best
She's better than the rest
We studied epicuticular wax
and she brushed books by the stacks
Alas it was only for one semester
But even so, she'll always be the bester
She'll go the extra mile
to make anyone smile
And that is why
it ain't no lie
Kristen's the best
She's better than the rest

When you're feeling down and the weather is gloomy.
Remember it's spring and the flowers are blooming.
In order for Spring to fully remain,
It won't be as beautiful without any rain.
So don't be so sad and try not to frown,
Just give a hug to that man named Brown!

I hear ya, Kristen.
I tried to write a poem and failed. So I thought of Wilbur from Charlotte's Web and that Chin Up song I used to love:

Chin up, chin up
Every little time your spirits wilt
Chin up, chin up
Give your attitude an upward tilt
Twinkle, sparkle
Make a little fun begin
You'll be on the right side
Looking at the bright side
Up with your chinny chin
Chin up!

Mom, your cracks me up and thank you for the compliments!

TamiJean, excellent use of epicuticular wax!

Skittl, excellent couplets. I'm very fond of the word swell and you are correct-I am very glad about the weekend!

Aunt Barbara, you end with wonderful advice, which I have taken advantage of today!

Justin, if you hadn't pointed it out, I would not have noticed the iambic pentameter of the last segment. YOU ARE IMPRESSIVE.

Mr. SuperHappySunshineSmiles, veyr positive! thank you!

Sabrina, your poem inspired me to find and watch the smorgasbord song! which is also fun :]
