what to watch

Dear QotD?ers,

We have a new fancy pants toy to go with our fancy tv. It's one of those magic dvd players that can talk wirelessly to the interwebs. We have decided to give Netflicks a chance by using their 2 week free trial period. Even though we haven't gotten any dvds in the mail yet, we've already watched 4 things because we can stream them from the internet and onto our generous sized tv.

The most laborious thing I did on Labor day was to prepare for and clean up after a party. This included preparing a vegetable tray and cleaning a chocolate fountain. That second part is fun, but messy.

Today's Question of the Day? is:
Are there any movies or tv shows that you want to recommend? We'll probably try anything but horror or really scarry 'thrillers'.

Love,
The Asker

I highly recommend "The Mentalist".
I love that show. Prehaps "Fringe"...it is 'out there'.
Movies......we are behind and not up to date.

I like Bones and NCIS, plus JAG for a show that isn't on anymore but you can get the seasons on DVD.

Gosh I haven't seen a current movie in years :)

TV shows: we are surprisingly interested in "Shark Tank" and "Homeland Security"; my favorite comedies are Big Bang Theory and 30 Rock.

On Hulu, you gotta watch Arrested Development.

I also like the "Mentalist". It is an interesting mystery without all the gore. Once you get your sound going, you need to watch Top Gun and Star Wars! Rock your house.

I know! We could sign up for the entire Star Trek: The Next Generation and Star Trek: Voyager series!

My parents really like "The Mentalist". You could try "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia". It's quite funny.
