hats

Dear QotD?ers,

Today was a mostly uneventful day. Justin is feeling better, but I'm going to insist he stay home again tomorrow.

At 09:09:09 on 09/09/09 I was talking to Justin about it being 09:09:09 and listening to a Beatles song.

Today's Question of the Day? is:
What kind of hats do you wear?

Love,
The Asker

Basically just 'sun hats' and once in a while a cap. I wish it were more in style to wear hats. They add a certain mystery or flare or
assertiveness to a person when they
wear a 'hat'.
Think Indiana Jones....My Fair Lady...John Wayne....Harry Potter...I'm still thinking...

A pink TCU baseball cap because I can't find my A&M one. Annelise has a pink plaid sun bonnet, a light pink bucket hat, and a green/polka dot wide-rimmed sun bonnet that has SPF protection built in. I put a hat on her whenever we go for a walk or are planning on spending a lot of time outside.

I have an Aggie hat that I wear to football games, but that's about it. However, there's this felt, green cloche hat I really want but I'm not quite sure I can pull it off.

Can't sleep,,,,up early. Ugh Well, Kristen, I could take your question several ways. Literally, I only wear a wide brim sun hat with SPF when I am out working in the yard. Figuratively, I wear many hats, as in responsibilities, both at home and school.

My first response to the question was in a metaphoical sense as well, so I will go with that answer.

The wife hat, the mom hat, the cleaning lady hat, the office worker hat, the daughter hat, the chauffeur hat, the social event planner hat, the volunteer hat and the counsler hat.

Jacob is the hat wearer. He mostly wears fedora type hats, but will also wear baseball caps and golf hats.

Hats my head head hot, and nobody likes a hot heat, especailly when they have lots of red in their hair.

I only wear hats in the winter. Right now my favorite hat is a hand knit beanie with ear flaps that I made- it has llamas on it, and is adorable.

I LOVE hats! In winter, I wear lots of wooly, fluffy, warm hats.

At the beach, a wide-brimmed hat. In the US I wear visors, when I remember.

I also wish hats were more in style!

I can't be sure, but I may have written the last sentence of my previous post after spending the pre-dawn hours on a drinking binge.

Spider story for the Asker!!

I went to check on Jessica as she was getting ready this morning and she told me this story.

"Mom, there were TWO GIANT spiders in the shower this morning. I don't know where they came from but I had to fight for my life! I used the shampoo bottle as my weapon and fought them off until they were good and dead and then pushed thier bodies down the drain! Are you proud of me?"

I could only laugh at the story, but I wonder if you might have had a better response for the poor child who had to engage in early morning battle.

When I worked at Boston Market in high school (I had to wear a hat), Kate's dad came in to get food. I found out later that he went home and said, "Poor Melissa, bless her heart, she shouldn't wear baseball hats with those ears!" I have been very afraid to wear hats ever since. Note to all men: Don't ever honestly criticize a woman's appearance (if you know her, at least) because if she finds out, she will be mortified for probably the rest of her life.
