spookaween: 1/5

Dear QotD?ers,

I will share pictures tomorrow, but know that I got 1st place, doing a 5k in 43:11. YEAH! Jackie got 2nd. Matthew (younger brother/Giant Boy/Jackie's boyfriend) got 1st and Justin got 1st too. There was a whole lotta winning going on. Also, my cousin's chili won 9th place at the cookoff.

Today's Question of the Day? is:
Have you ever been to a haunted house 'attraction'? Was it scary?

love,
The Asker

Congratulations all around! Both in high school and in college we participated in Haunted Houses to make money for good causes. They were fun being the ones to act like goblins. I saw two of my former students last night all dressed up like zombies! They had been to the "Zombie Walk" in the Galleria area of Houston. It was interesting hearing them tell about it!

I went to one at Six Flags back in junior high/high school and it was scary for me. But I'm a big wimp and don't like anything scary at all.

Never been to nor participated in a haunted house. No particular reason, just never took the opportunity.

Good job on the 5k!

Nick will have his first band concert this week. I am pretty excited. Love the junior high band concerts!!

Whoop!!!Whoop!!! on the run!!!! Congratulations guys!!!!
I DO NOT DO SCARY!!! The only even remotely scary thing I have done is the "Hell House" in Tyler that we took our teenagers at church to. It was staged to show kids their need for Jesus Christ as their savior.

They were pretty nice looking medals!
I don't do scary either. I have
gone to 'haunted houses' with my kids.....but did not like it....at all.

I don't do scary things. I don't even like "funny scary". Honestly, I don't even like nice surprises.

Hotard from Hell was a haunted dorm at A&M. Hotard was probably the oldest dorm up there (exposed piping, no A/C, cinder blocks, you get the picture). They jumped out in masks and stuff, and I think we had to crawl over a pile of bunk bed parts in the hallway at one point.

Congratulations!!

no, I was always a scaredy cat as a kid. pretty much scared of anything that moved or popped or looked at me funny.

I cried at one when I was little. My parents had taken me and felt really badly about it. I got to go through the emergency exit and they gave me a free coke to calm me down.

I hadn't been to another one until Matthew asked me out. For our first date he took me to "Screams" and I'm pretty sure he felt like he wasted his money. Heh. I buried my face in his back and didn't look at anything. I'm surprised he asked me out on a second date!

Dear The Asker,
Yes, one time I went into a beauty salon and nearly wet myself I was so scared.

Sincerly,
Dr. Fandango, Misinterpreter of concepts

P.S. What is gespatcho? Wasn't he the man that carved pinocchio?

Mom-In-Law, Oo, Zombie Walk, that would have been fun!

Angel-A, I never got to go to Six Flags during Halloween season. awesome.

Jackie, coke, awesome.

Dr. Fandango, beauty salons do have a unique smell. Gazpacho, cold soup, significant to Rimmer
