SNACKS ON A PLANE

Dear QotD?ers,

I came home from an evening grocery run to find a frog on the front door jamb. He was so smooth and green and adorable, but I couldn't remember that I put the camera on the shelf in the laundry room after I took it out of my cape pocket so I could put the cape in the washing machine. So I opened the door, crept past him, and he crawld up about 4 inches before jumping way the heck over there. Aww. But if I had been able to take a picture, I'd be sharing it with you.
Today we learned: fire in moderation.

Today's Question of the Day? is:
What is your favorite airplane ride snack and drink? What would be a really great (and easily distributed) airplane ride snack?

Love,
The Asker

Oreo cookies and milk. I think that would make everyone smile!

For some reason, I always get Canada Dry Ginger Ale when I ride on planes. Also, nuts are a good airplane snack. The last plane I was on gave out pretzels instead. Bummer. Yet better than an airplane meal I guess.

I would have to say that Chick-fil-A would be a good airplane meal. It's easy to box and distribute, plus it's delicious. Also, I'm in the mood for a chicken sandwich right now, so that may be a bit biased.

I'm with Jacklyn, I want Chick-Fil-A on airplanes! I always get water on airplanes. I like to *try* to sleep on planes so I avoid caffeine when I'm on them. Plus since I'm nursing Annelise I need lots of water to make milk for her.

When we *hopefully* get on a plane next week I'll be taking grapes, cheerios, craisins, and some 100-calorie packs with us. Annelise loves grapes, cheerios, and craisins and I love all 4 of the items. If we don't get on the plane I want to get on and have to take a flight on a different day, I will also bring one or two sandwiches. The flight I want to get on is an actual commercial plane with flight attendants and such, but the other planes are cargo planes and I will not have food service available.

On of the last times I took an airplane, I was compelled to say that I would rather take a donkey ride home and be pelted with rocks the entire way than get back on an airplane. That being the case, I am finding it difficult to answer this question.

I MISS PEANUTS.

Domestic flights here usually provide hot sandwiches. Better than pretzels, I seriusly dislike pretzels.

Airplane rides are a time to drink Tomato Juice!!!

And a note to Delta- Bloody Mary Mix is NOT Tomato Juice.

There is no on the airplane snack I like to eat, I don't like pretzels or nuts, though once I got this neat breakfast that had a summer sausage and some cheddar cheese; but I always bring swedish fish with me.

In the Austin airport I like to get a schlotsky's sandwich to take with me.

I think I would throw up if there was Chick-fil-a on airplanes. The smell of that stuff is gross!

Dear The Asker,
I hate the snacks on airplanes. The peanuts and pretzles come in a tiny bag that squeaks every single time that you move it, and the drinks come in a tiny little plastic glass that you could down in one gulp. However, if I ruled the world(and someday I will)then I would have every plane equiped with a Chinese acrobatic chef, the kind that can flip a shrimp into your mouth using only the edge of his knife. Then I would strap everyone in to their seats and make the plane start doing flips and twirls, so everyone is experiencing 15 G's at least, while food is violently flung into their mouth. Bwahahaha it would be CHAOS!!!!

Sincerly, Dr. Fandango, opposer of animal kind.

Mom, I approve!
Jackie, as long as the waffle fries are fresh!
Angel-A, craisins can be sticky, but they are delicious!
Anne, Oh Anne, you should imagine it's a lovely magical airplane with lots of room, no turbulence and delicious snacks!
Sabrina, mm, hot sammiches!
Jessi, I didn't realize tomato juice was an option. not that I'm a fan. mm, Schlotskies sammiches!
Dr. Fandango, I do enjoy Hibachi, but I would not be brave enough to fly on your airline!
