shmamcakes!

Dear QotD?ers,
.
I must have slept on my shoulder weird last night, because it's been all stiff and sore today. I don't like it! My workday went by fairly quickly and I'm about to make myself a brownie sundae. Justin got some VERY good strawberries at the grocery store. They are delicious and will be included.
Jessi, I would have agreed with you, but not on account of blisters. I made that walk barefoot because it was raining and I thought it would be fun. But so much of that pathway is pebbled cement and THAT hurts too!
.
Today's Question of the Day? is:
.
Sometimes, do you like stuff in your pancakes? like fruit or chocolate or something?
.
Love,
The Asker

I like the small Maine blueberries in my pancakes, and I also like to make pecan pancakes with small bits of pecans. I especially like the Harvest N'Grain pancakes from IHOP. Thanks for asking!

After a visit to your place, Matthew and I have made banana pancakes for brinner a couple times. They are delicious!

Once in a while I do like something different with my pancakes. I too like blueberries
or pecan pieces, or even chocolate chips.
I also love French Toast made with cinammon raisen bread. YUM.

Bob has experimented with all sorts of additions to pancakes. PBnJ pancakes, orange pancakes (from the rind, not the pulp or juice), apple/cinnamon pancakes are just a few of his variations. All of them are pretty good, especially if you try different toppings, as opposed to conventional syrup.

Hee hee. But Bob has not been familiar with different varieties of pancakes his whole life. While pregnant with Jacob, I kept craving potato pancakes. Bob sat down with a big plate of potato pancakes and before I could react, he poured syrup all over them and took a bite!!! He was angry with me for a long time about that!!! He wanted to know what was wrong with Polish people that they ruined something as beautiful as a pancake!

I've only tried blueberries, which turn out very good. pecan sounds especially delicious.

I am more picky about my topping, which I prefer to be real maple syrup. I never knew that Mrs. Butterworth wasn't the real thing until I went to college.

Fruit and sweets are good. The Reid's had an awesome recipe with whole wheat flour and cream of wheat in it.

I remember the Pancake Pantry in Gatlinburg, TN having awesome pancakes. I think I had coconut and pineapple?

Definitely. I am a fan of the plain pancake too, don't get me wrong. But raspberry, blueberry, apple, cinnamon, chocolate chip....all of these are fantaaaastic pancakes.

Maybe bananas or chocolate chips in my pancakes, but I'm more of an ON my pancakes kind of girl- and then I like strawberries.

But it's always tough to decide because fruit and maple syrup don't go well together and I love (fake) maple syrup.
