... And that was Gustav

Dear QotD?ers,
.
Thankfully, Gustav turned out to be a non-issue for us. I don't think there are any QotD?ers that are impacted either. Hanna looks like she's headed for the east coast. HAPPY LABOR DAY!
.
Today's Question of the Day? is:
.
What are you doing for Labor Day?
.
Love,
The Asker
.
P.S. I haven't slept well at all this weekend. Sigh!

I will be laboring over the ironing board with two loads worth of ironing to do. HOORAY!

We have thought seriously about investing in an iron here. I never thought I could go for 6 months without one!

I'm working today. Our Labor Day was in May! Hope you all enjoy your day off.

We went to a cook-out last night with a band and good food. It was fun. I saw many American Beauty Berry shrubs and took some seeds to plant in our back forty.

The kids all woke up late and are just now really beginning to move. Bob is mowing and I will go grocery shopping soon. Yeah! Domestic bliss!!

In five days, Jacob will turn 15. Is it not 20 days until you have a birthday as well, Kristen? 19 days? 21?

depending on how you count down, yes, my birthday is between 19 & 20 days away (the 20th) HOORAY!

15 is a pretty awesome age to turn.

Got your car inspected, watched some Star Trek Voyager episodes, played computer games, dragged you out of bed to come play WoW with me. Maybe some swimming pool time later if we're up for it. Hooray days off!

I think I have family in Alexandria, LA (Adam Harris & family). They look to be pretty close to it's path. Hope they're doing okay there.

i am taking care of all the stuff that i should have done before i "moved" this weekend... such as getting new tires, finding my vaccuum (vacuum...?), buying a cutlery organizer, ordering cable/internet, packing the last of my clothes, etc. and i slept late. so that makes for a good labor day!

Gustav was still a guy hurricane. Not so destructive and a bit on the puny side.

I can never exactly remember your birthday, but this is not a personal thing. I also can never exactly remember my anniversary or Bob's birthday..or a lot of other dates that are usually considered important.

Nothing terribly exciting.
Our weekend company left today about noon. The afternoon? A nap, do some laundry, do some school work. Perhaps watch a good movie on TV.
Pretty much it..........

Lots and lots of laundry. I think I did 7 loads today.

(For labor day weekend, we went camping.)

I had school today. Went to an 8 o'clock lab where we watched a 30 minute video from 1985. Then went to boring classes and another lab. Then I watched my roommate kill zombies with a lawnmower and started my homework.
whooopeee!

I woke up at 4am. Drove to downtown and waited in line for a parking space at 5:30am. Sat on a wall from 6am to 9pm. Watched the most amazing fireworks show from 9-9:30pm. And got home around midnight.
