Gonna have some fun/ Show you how it's done/ TGIF

Dear QotD?ers,
.
We've made it through another week. Hooray! It doesn't look like Ike or Josephine will be a threat to me.
I watched an episode of startrek last night that included a pretty orange kitty and a Data cake.
.
Today's Question of the Day? is:
.
What's your favorite sitcom that has been on the air within the last ten years?
.
Love,
The Asker
.

I'm thinking that sitcoms are 30 minutes and hour long shows somehow fit in a different category.

30 Rock. It's hilarious, there's costumes, sometimes their musical-esque singing numbers. Sheinhardt Wig Company owns NBC. I love this show more than Friends and more than The Office.

Malcolm in the Middle

I love Hal's screams the best.

Duly noted that your question yesterday touched on the topic of the role of women today. It is the Catch-22 of the modern woman: if she chooses a career, people question her ability to be a good mother, and if she chooses motherhood, people question her lack of amibition and often her intelligence.

Was The Muppet Show on within the last ten years? I love the Muppets. Not sure it counts as a sitcom but it sure was funny!

Also high on the list is Scrubs. Do the Simpsons count as sitcom?

While tempted to say Star Trek: TNG... I'll go with "Everbody Loves Raymond".

I like the way Groovy Sabrina thinks. And she is funny. I may like her enough to forgive her of the grassy knoll by the beach that she flaunted.

I decided that the Simpsons would not classify as a sitcom, otherwise that would have been my answer.

And the Muppets!?? Unless Groovy Sabrina is 40, and I do not believe this to be so, the Muppets were on the air when I was a kid, well passt the ten year mark. The Swedish Chef and Animal were the best. I think those two characters live in my house now.

Big Bang Theory or maybe How I Met Your Mother, possibly Scrubs.

I was/am totally addicted to Two Guys, a Girl and a Pizza Place. It doesn't run anymore, even on syndication, but I had a friend record some episodes on VHS for me when I was living in a place with no cable. So ONE of these days, I'm gonna record them onto DVD or hopefully one of these days they'll release it on DVD. I don't think I've really been into sitcoms since that show aired. It's mostly food shows for me now.

the office. i've always wanted to watch 30 Rock, but it seems to be on at a time that i've always had something else going on. either that, or it competes with Deadliest Catch, and unfortunately these decisions have to be made... especially when you're a poor college student and there is no DVR in sight. i haven't been a fan of the office for long, but matt kuester got me hooked on it this summer. i think i'm going to begin my collection of seasons at christmas time. :-)
