I did it! I got it to snow for Justin's birthday! It was 6 days early, but I don't care - it's an amazing feat for me to have accomplished. First, the Justin at the car as we left work. Second, our house covered in snow.
But, The Asker, where is the snowman you promised? Oh, he turned out fantastic and will be featured on this year's Christmas card. All of you regular participants will be getting one! If you've moved since last year, e-mail me your new address. Sabrina, I don't know if I should send yours to Brasil or down the street.
I am definately a better driver in real life. However, I am better in video games at playing guitar, jumping really high and shooting fireballs.

Ok, I am ready for the criticism...heater set on 65, AC set on 73. I rarely turn on the heat..but last week, it came on by itself! It was really, really cold for Houston.

I cannot criticize Jeannie. But I can gripe about Bob!!
Night time setting goes down to 62. I will turn it up once I get up in the morning to about 66, or 68 if it is a really chilly morning. That way when kids get up for breakfast, they are more comfortable. Then the temperature goes back down to 65 for the day. Sometimes I will put a big pot of water on the stovetop to add warmth and moisture to the air. And then I pile on the socks and sweaters and do the happy dance that it is NOT THE AC running to keep the temperatures this low. Because 65 degrees is where Bob is most comfortable. That man KNOWS when I try to creep the temperature up past 72.
I have grown rather used to the cooler temps in the winter, so if I had complete control I would probably keep the winter settings pretty cool. But I would much rather have the summer setting at about 78.
When we are at home.........it is set at 70. When we are not at home...(like during the day, we are a work) it is set on 62.
During the summer, the AC is set on 80.

Thermostat...HA! as if we have a thermostat. Our HVAC system at home is open windows, fans, and lots of cold showers.
I don't know - I let the hubby handle the temperature control widget in the house. I think it's around 70. He'd happily keep it much much colder, but I spent all of last winter wearing four layers of clothes in-house and he's taking pity on me this year.
Securely in the 'Off' position, as often as I can manage.
We have a programmable thermostat, it is 56 at night when we are asleep, 60 during the day when we aren't home (we thought 56 was too cold for the dog), and 68 when we are home.
We didn't turn it on until we reached a regular inside temperature below 56-60. Kevin really hates wearing long sleeves though, so I think if I could get hime into a sweatshirt we could keep it at 60-65 instead of 68.
Below 62 at night, our dog gets too cold and will seek out warmth. Since he is not allowed on beds, he will either sneek up on Jessica's bed for warmth or, if her door is closed, whine until I get up and come out to cuddle with him.
Bob says that a wild animal should be able to get along better than that, but Ford is fed by humans, lives indoors and is well-trained. Bob will point out that Ford gets better anemities than he does. I have to agree. I put time and effort into training Ford. Bob is free-wheeling and untamed!
