I'll offer my sympathy

Dear QotD?ers,

My headaches have crept back up. I really don't like them. It's annoying and distracting and disheartening. I'm going to see if I can get to sleep unusually early tonight in an effort to get more (and hopefully better) sleep. /complain
The weekend before last I went to the grocery store wearing a t-shirt backwards. I wasn't too upset about it. it wasn't a cool t-shirt and we never see anyone at the grocery store worth impressing.
Today's Question of the Day? is:
What do you complain about more than anything else?

Love,
The Asker

Dear The Asker,
Bwahahahahahahah! I am the first to answer the post this time! I complain about.... Kittens. Ugh! I loath them in all of their fluffiness! Also, the ninja kittens create many problems while I try to take over Animalia. CURSE YOU NINJA KITTENS!!!!!

Sincerly,
Dr. Fandango, hater of kittens.

P.S. You will find that all evil villians have a musical side. Mostly because its almost impossible to reveal evil plans without using song.

I am so sorry to hear about your headaches! I know how hard you have tried to get some relief. I complain more than I should. I guess I complain the most about the AC not working properly in my school room. I need moving air in my room...hey, I share it with teenagers! A cool room, means a cool, under control, happy teacher!

When I worked at the Children's Museum I would complain about that. Lots.

However, it's now November and seeing as to how I want to go home Christmas break I'm not looking for a job at the moment. It's a nice feeling only going to school and having your evenings free to do homework and relax. At the moment I have nothing to complain about.

Come January I will be looking for jobs and I'm sure I'll have plenty to complain about again.

I would say I complain about the weather more than anything. It is either raining when I'm off or it's raining when I'm going to work or sunny when I am at work and I can't be out to enjoy it. So I guess weather is my biggest complaint.

Right now students not doing their work is my biggest complaint right now. Not doing their work AND not caring. It bothers me that they do not value their education...that they do not want 'to think'!
PS
Hope you get rid of your headaches!
Have a good night's rest!

I complain most about the unending, unrelenting, unappreciated tasks that I must do to keep this family going....grocery shopping and cooking. Those tasks take such a huge chunk of my time.

And since those things take up so much of my life, all my best friends are the employees at the grocery store. Which made me sad when you said that there was no one to impress at the grocery store! Those people are all the most important people in my life! I think they are planning a surprise birthday party for me this year!! I am so excited!

most of my complaints revolve around something wasting my time. Like lines and bureaucracy, both of which have the power to make me so angry I can't see straight. waiting for buses, waiting for people to do their jobs, waiting for help at the bank, waiting on hold on the phone...all try my patience!

1) I don't know if your headaches are the same as mine, but I picked up some Aleve Tension Headache the other day (has double the painkiller of normal headache or even the OTC "migrane" medicine) and it seemed to have actually worked on my crazy brain headache this weekend.

I remain cautiously optimistic.

2) I'm still young enough that most of my complaints revolve around unfairness. "It's not fair!" is the mantra of the teenager, and apparently I still think it SHOULD be fair, even though I'm starting to realize it rarely ever is.

3) DrFandango - You shall never defeat my ninjakitten army! MUAHAHAHA. (See, you start your laugh with the B, and I start mine with an M, so you can tell we're from two totally different schools of evil).

Dr. Fandango, I'm so sorry to hear about your loathing for the most adorable of all living things. I'm not really sure what to do with this information, as barring you from QotD? would seem harsh.

OMom, AC seems pretty essential when you work in a room that has appliances that purposefully heat things up.

Jackie, wonderful! I hope your finals will all be pretty easy, so you won't even have to complain about that!

Aunt Barbara, it would be nice if the rain could cooperate for you, especially when you live in such a beautiful part of the world.

Mom, those darn rascals! don't they know the gift you are giving them? Everyone should be thankful to have MATH!

Anne, really? do you hang out with them outside of the grocery store?

Sabrina, I agree with you. it's not the waiting, it's the wasting. As engineers, we like things to be very efficient. That is why I gave up ever shopping at Walmart again. Spending ~3 hours on $20 gift card was probably too much.

TamiJean, I'll have to pick some up. Fairness is a legitimate complaint. Things would be a lot happier if fairness was equallized.

Jessi, I know where you are coming from. It's horrible.

Kristen,

I have three kids who are adept at pointing out how pathetic my life is, so further contributions really are not necessary.

Okay, I don't HANG OUT with the Brookshires employees, but I really don't hang out with anyone.
I wake up early, work with family members, pick kids up from school, make dinner, pack lunches, and go to bed early. The last time I went out for an evening, I went out with my husband and our two sons. So it is pathetically comic when I tell people that my best friends are the Brookshires employees, because it is almost true.

But I would never be friends with any WalMart employees!! I could complain for days about WalMart!!

TamiJean has a ninjakitten army???

That is not fair! I want one!

Jackie said...

Anne, the people at Brookshires in Midlothian are incredibly friendly! I understand.

Tami Parker said...

@Anne

You can borrow mine. Like. They're available this weekend. But you have to make sure they get to bed on time (they get VERY tired, what with all the ninjafighting) and don't feed them after midnight.

Dear The Asker; Mother of Trees, Anne; and TamiJean;

Okay, first I would like to point out that Ninja Kitten Armies are off limits! Unless you all want me to pull out my Super Puppy and Teddy Bear Destruction Force of Chaos! Also, barring me from the site would cause me to create a bigger and better QOTD? that would create ultimate chaos and destroy the world. Bwahahaha. On that note I'd also like to point out that the school of Bwahaha has beaten the school of Muahaha in the Evilimpics for the past three years in a row. So, Ha!

Sincerly,
Dr. Fandango, Creator of Doom

Anne, I still think you are a delightful human being with amazing wit and intelligence. don't argue with me on this one, you won't change my mind.

Dr. Fandango, I dare you to start a 'better' QotD? I have a loyal following, and I can always reinstate the Magic Cosmic Brownie Points for added devotion. TeeHeeHeeHeeHee!

Mother of Three, Anne said...

I accept your compliment! Thanks!!

Truth be known, even when I was young and beautiful, I was still a fuddy-dud who prefered to stay home and get things done rather than socialize, party and interact with the masses.

I am still hopeful that my Brookshires friends will throw me a birthday party!! As Jacklyn points out, those are some mighty friendly, thoughtful people!

Oh, and my bank teller loves me! She is another good friend!!

Tami Parker said...

I wish to submit my vote for the brownie points to reappear! Man, those were fun times. Even if I did miss out on an opportunity to gain them because I wouldn't eat green beans.

Kristen said...

TamiJean, green beans are GOOD for you. What would you do if green beans showed up in your bushels or local farm produce?
