THERE'S MUSIC!

Dear QotD?ers,

If I ever saw a double rainbow in person, I would be delighted. Rainbows are a great feature of nature with a fantastic science explanation. WAVELENGTHS!
There's a crazy guy on the internet that saw one and made a video of his reaction: which was crazy. Then some other people on the internet made it into a song. There is a bleeped word near the end, so view/listen at your own discretion. The song cracks me up!

I know that a strawberry popscicle is not ice cream, but it is close enough, when it comes from an ice cream truck. Today I had a chocolate cone!

Today's Question of the Day? is:
What's your favorite frozen treat from an ice cream truck?

Love,
The Asker

I haven't stopped the ice cream truck in years............
not for sure what they even have...

But I do like ice cream sandwiches
and 'Nutty Buddy Bars'....not sure if they even make them anymore.

The ice cream truck sells $2 to $3 ice cream cones. That is unacceptable. For $3, I can buy a whole gallon of non-Blue Bell ice cream!! For less than $2, I can buy a big, SOFT, yummy delicious sno cone!! (The ice cream truck carries one flavor of a sno cone that is solidified ice. UGH!)

My favorite thing to buy from the ice cream truck is nothing because I am not a kid any more and the whole thing just makes me grumpy.

We were reflecting this weekend on the differences between the reactions of kids to parents on the issue of hotel rooms. I think it is comparable to the difference in the reactions to an ice cream truck.

Our weekend included a hotel room, a children exchange program, midnight putt putt golf, an armadillo attack, Hiking Trail Tag, motorized bike rides, some tennis, Rock Band, Imaginiff, and lots of food. Oooo and grilled angel food cake with strawberries on top! That was yummy!!!

When I was very young, my absolute favorite ice cream truck treat was the pink panther bar.

In high school, I giddily ran to a truck and purchased this remembered treat.

It was revolting. Bubble gum flavored ice cream? GROSS!

... grilled angel food cake?

@ TamiJean,

Oh, yes! Grilled angel food cake. It is delicious! Just put it on the grill until it is toasty and send me a thank you card.

No, wait! That's not all!

You can also send me a thank you card once you try grilled watermelon.

Sure, your watermelon will be warm and this may seem incongruent to many. But grilling it will bring the sugar to the top and you will get this glazed yummy, sugary watermelon slice from heaven.

@Anne

I call shenanigans on your grilled watermelon.

I had my suspicions when you told me to put eggs in my coffee grounds, but now I think you're just searching for the ultimate in absurd foods that you can convince me to eat.

@ TamiJean,

Pfft! I believe a google search will give you recipes and visuals for grilled watermelon.

Which may only be a testament to my willingness to eat absurd foods, but I do not stand alone on this.

I will profess that I am typically willing to try anything that is offered. I can only offer these items as ones that I may pass up in the offering...and that is a MAY:

Menudo
Okra

I won't refuse to eat those items if there is nothing else, or if there is a specail reason that they were prepared. But I generally will not seek those items out.

@Anne

The internet substantiates your watermelon shenanigans.

I'll be trying a cucumber lemonade soon. If it's as yummy as promised, I'll send you the recipe. =]

Mom, excellent choice.

Anne, I know how you feel about price and quantity. Your weekend sounds amazing!

TamiJean, aww, sorry it dissapointed you.

Jackie, those are the best food. I love them.
