not-Kofi is coming!

Dear QotD?ers,

The bear in my caroon movie would be a koala (not a real bear, but it's my movie) and his friend would be a walabi. These two would have fun, australian accented adventures in their hot air baloon looking for the last kukabura in a gum tree.

In other news, a great friend of mine is flying into town in the afternoon. It may be rainig a lot, limiting our activities to those indoors.

Today's Question of the Day? is:
What activities do you like to do with out of town guests?

Love,
The Asker

Depends on the company.......
some company likes to 'sight-see' or perhaps go to a movie or attend a concert. There is usually some type of indoor game playing such as card, dominoes, or board game.
Depending on the length of time there is going out to eat at a nice or new or favorite restaurant and/or cooking on the grill. Summer time may include watermelon or homemade ice cream making. Visiting/talking and catching up on families or friends as well.
As far as our company this weekend, they like to gamble so we may include a day trip to Winstar in Oklahoma.

It does depend on the company.

There is always lots of food, although we rarely take people out to eat. There is usually some activity involved, such as a game of Frolf, seeing a concert or visiting other people. There is always backyard fun, no matter adults or childrne visiting.

Our guest this week got sno cone runs and cuddle time with Ford as special treats, otherwise they have played in the backyard, gone swimming and had special berry pies for breakfast.

I have had two out of town guests. A gamer friend and my mom.

We do the same sorts of things with both. We go out to eat, maybe see a movie, then come home and cook and talk and enjoy each other's company.

We eat- a lot.

Then we usually go down to the University and walk around and see the old Iowa campus.

Then we might go out to a little town nearby that has a great brewery. We tried wine tasting once, and that was a mistake. Iowa wine is NOT good.

Otherwise, not too much to do around here. But when we go to cities where there is a lot to do, we generally end up hanging around THEIR houses, so it shouldn't be expected that we come up with amazing activities if they don't either.

Mom, mm, watermellon.

Anne, oh man! i haven't had a snow cone this summer! Excellent idea, guest or no guest.

TamiJean, conversations with you and Mr. Steven are always to be cherished. THURSDAYS.

Skittl, I had to laugh at you failed experience with Iowa wine.

Dr. Fandango, remind me not to visit. That sounds a little too intense for me.

Anne, oo, that would have been good

Moana, thanks for the comment and for coming!
