killum

Dear QotD?ers,

From Harry Potter, I will take Neville Longbottom - the clutsy Hogwarts student that tries very hard at magic, but isn't very good. From I Love Lucy, I will take Lucy's over-ambition to be in show business - despite being not very good. Neville and his thickly accented Russian wife travel the world. She is a performing 'magician' for muggles. Every week he tries to get into the show as an opening act with some new trick. On occasions when he does manage a spot, he fails most hilariously and the audience thinks he is a comedy act.
Today's Question of the Day? is:
What is your favorite method of insect control?

I have something very particular in mind for my answer...
Love,
The Asker

Cats and husbands are my favorite method of insect control.

The cat chases the bugs that make it into the house, Mr. Moore chases the spiders that I don'te ven want to know about, and any time we go outside, all the mosquitoes flock to Mr. Moore, leaving me itch-free as they abandon me for my more delicious husband.

Spray cans usually do the trick on the big scary stuff.

Ironically, I appreciate the assistance of spiders even if they do give The Asker the frights. I often think to myself,

"Shoot, a bug got in... ah well, the spiders will get it."

I will resist the urge to insert spider ascii art...

When there's a particularly creepy bug in our house, Morgan and I use shoes, Raid, and lots of screaming to kill it.

Squishes work very well on some things, putting them outside works very well on others.

Big ole sticky pads of doom!

Admittedly, when the mice get stuck, that is not so great because they squeak.

I am forbidden from killing spiders in the home, as Bob also sees them as preventative. As long as the spider numbers in the home are low, I can live with that.

Dear The Asker,
Bwahahaha! I take out my giant magnifying glass and burn victims on city streets. As I scream, "The world is my ant hill and I am the nerd with the magnifying glass!!" So next time you see someone running down the street on fire, you'll know it's me.

Or I take my human swater and smack people or sometimes small animals. Then tie them up in my web of mind games and witchcraft. Bwahahahaha...ha.
Sincerly,
Dr. Fandango, Lord of the Flies

Asker,

I must put in random additions today.

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory does not contain dead children. I believe the first moive is accurate in the representation that all the children leave the factory, some a bit modified.

Non-QoTD issues

We have now added a three hole puttputt golf course to our backyard. It is being constructed this week.

Our garden is planted and we are waiting for the seeds to sprout. The bike track that displaced my garden seems to be doing its job, as there have been many injuries already. My garden is now smaller, but I have been promised more space if I want it.

Jacob's nanobot design was chosen to be put into the 3D printer. I had no idea what that meant, but would be interested to see if you know.

Jacob took the science TAKS yesterday and decided to take "What Has Scienc Ever Done for Us?" as his reading material. I am not at all sure that they allow sarcasm on TAKS days, but he didn't get expelled, so that is good.

TamiJean, Oh! a husband with delicious blood - good choice!

Justin, you know how i feel.

Sabrina, what sort of prevention?

Jackie, I find that screaming usually helps too!

Mr. Moore, I'm sort of curious about the differentiation you make for your two options, but I'm afraid that I wouldn't really want to know.

Anne, As long as I never SEE the spiders, I'm ok.. sorta

Dr. Fandango, well planned, as usual.

Anne, I believe I know what a 3D printer is, but I'm not sure about the nanobot design, unless it was a blown up model, and then I'm not sure what that would look like. Thumbs up on the TAKS reading! is that a fiction or non-fiction?
