Leftovers 4/5

Dear QotD?ers,
.
A slowed economy makes for interesting stories being passed around the office. A Dow plant is firing everyone for the month of December, then will re-hire them in January? When the fertilizer business tanks, refineries that process sour crude dump molten sulfur in the ground until business picks up again? Crazy things. We aren't getting fired. I hope you won't get fired, too.
.
Today's Question of the Day? is:
.
What foods make BAD leftovers?
.
asparagus. pretty good freshly cooked, but the texture becomes disgusting when reheated
.
Love,
The Asker

Shrimp!

Shrimp makes horrible leftovers. Fishy rubber is NOT appetizing.

Companies will often fire and then rehire employees as a way cut costs and increase tax benefits and decrease the employee benefits.

Our friend, who lives in Houston, told us that after Hurricane Ike, her boss rented a conference room at a hotel on the north side of the city. He insisted that people show up there for work or take sick days. She says that this is just how small business owners are...always concerned with making a profit. Yes, companies like to make profits. But making people take sick days after a hurricane and firing and rehiring employees are the mark of idiot decision makers, not greedy profiteers. I know it is a fine line.

Sorry...I just can't answer this question. I do so few leftovers. And they usually get a redressing as a leftover...in a tortilla, or chopped up and up in a new dish.

Lesse... seafood, yuck; already reheated leftovers, nauseating; formerly fried crispy things, bland and sad; salads that turn into green/brown mushiness.

Pizza's okay, but it makes everything else smell like pizza, which is weird.

Word Verif: shermerma (sung to the tune of "My Sharona")
