I've never dedicated a song over the radio. I would want to make sure the dedicatee is listening.
It was too windy to eat lunch outside today. Tonight was reruns of two of my favorite shoes. I've done a load of laundry! I am so very glad that tomorrow is Friday, the last day of work for the week. Hopefully, I'll be able to enjoy the weekend without having to do any work.
Today's Question of the Day? is:
Do you have a favorite charity?
Love,
The Asker

TamiJean would not have needed to have a strong Texas accent. Those Yankees consider anything that is NOT their accent a strong whatever accent. Every time I venture up to Chicago, I get razzed about my strong Texas accent from my relatives. If I am anywhere else in the world, people will tell me that they do not recognise my accent at all. That includes here in Texas, where I will occassionally be asked about my LACK of Texas accent.
My most favorite person by accent is my friend, David. He is an Anglo-Indian (of Indian descent having been born and raised in England) and carries both of those speech patterns. He moved to New Jersey when he was in his early youth, and carries that speech pattern. He picked up part of the Texas twang while he was here and he added a Eastern Seaboard accent to THAT while in New Hampshire. It is the most complicated, mutilated, hilarious speech pattern I have ever heard! I LOVE IT!!!
Amen!
Yeah for Friday!
Don't know if it is a 'favorite' charity, butit would be the American Cancer Society.
My dad died way too young.
I have been told I do not have a Texas accent. Born and bred in Texas......go figure!?
hmm, probably CARE International, they do lots of good work. Heifer also has a good record.
I think Doctor's Without Borders is my current favorite.
Nick's Song of the Day:
This is my song for Nick
It's not a musical trick
Nick is fun. Nick is silly.
Nick is smarter than the boys named Billy
But not smarter than the boys named Bob!!
Jessica sang the Black Girls Back Up for me.
@ Kathleen,
Not only do you lack the Texas twang, but Martin speaks more like a Cajun than a Texan. I doubt all of your claims of being born and bred here and am certain Schulenberg is a made-up place!!!
Anne, Do those Yankees think they DON'T have an accent? becuase they do. David sounds amazing. He should do an audio book.
Mom, I wish I could have known him longer.
Sabrina, I didn't know about CARE, but I looked them up and like what I read in their 'about' section.
Skittl, I think Justin's Dad might be involved with them.
Anne, WHAT DOES THAT SAY ABOUT THE SCHULENBURG PIE THAT APPEARED ON YOUR TABLE ONE DAY!?!?!?!
Asker,
NO ONE KNEW ANYTHING ABOUT IT! That was the answer I kept getting. Clearly, I imagined the whole pie!
OR...OR....OOOORRRR...You and your kin are all in cahoots to drive me batty!!
But I would be surprised if that is the reality, as I think you are fully aware of the fine job being done by Bob, Jake, Nick and Jess.
