Get a different shopping cart

Dear QotD?ers,
.
Did I mention that I have to go into work tomorrow? Well, that's why I'm home today, that's why I slept in, and that's why your QotD? is late.
.
Today's Question of the Day? is:
.
What other, non-luxury retail store would you like to have a 3-minute free-for-all shopping spree?
.
Love,
The Asker
.

Well, I would have preferred to shop at Target. I am not a WalMart fan. Had I been at Target, I would have cleaned out the home decor section.

Barnes and Noble!!! Oh, that would be fun!!! Or Ellis County Music.... Because you can never have enough books and drums in your home!!

I told Bob that if I have the chance to build another home, I would add five rooms to our home. Two bathrooms, one bedroom, an art room and a music room.

Jessica is the Little Nut Brown Hare from the book "Guess How Much I Love You."

Nick is James K. Polk, but this evening he will be a homicidal clown. There is a difference!!

Jacob may be a whoopi cushion, but as he is committed to band, he probably will not have an opportunity to wear his outfit. I really think they could have let the band go out of uniform for this evening, but nobody asked for my input.

And mmnevill...yes, all the baby showers are nice, but why don't people throw "car insurance for a teenage boy" showers!???

Oh, and due to the big kudos for Reese's Piece recently, a bought a bag for Halloween. Unfortunately, none of the trick or treaters will be getting any in their bags, as ALL OF THE PACKETS HAVE BEEN CONSUMED!! Apparently, my family shares the enthusiasim for this tasty treat.

My definition of "luxury" has changed since moving to Brazil. Most of the crap at Wal-Mart seems more like a luxury. Does that make Wal-Mart a luxury store? I miss the 1st world...

I'd go to the grocery store and STOCK THE HELL UP on tortillas.

word verif: hines, like the ketchup! Oh wait, that Heinz.

JenniferCaitlin!

That reminds me of a joke I heard just today:

Your dog must be worried about the economy because Alpo is up to 99¢ a can. That's almost $7.00 in dog money.

HA!

Now the word ref is dacri. Makes me thirsty.

Okay, I agree that definitions of luxury will change throughout your life...BUT TORTILLAS!???

Take some water and flour, roll it, smash it and fry it!! Not a lot of ingredients, special or otherwise, talent or skill involved in that!! And the shelf life is so limited. I think you should take a do over!

The last trick or treater stubbed his toe on our porch. I told him that I would keep putting candy in his bag until he quit crying!! That was fun.

I also suggested that I get to put a note on our door that says "You gotta yell over the drums to get treats!" Amazingly, I got vetoed. But they are wrong...that would be fun!!!

hmmmm... cooking goodies would be a LOT of fun. and very appreciated! but i would also like some really good fresh produce. like a produce stand in the middle of a magical field that grows every produce known to man. i could handle some three minute spreeing on really good fruits and veggies!! as for shelf life, i could always freeze what i don't use...

OH, definitely Best Buy and to the BIG SCREEN tv section or the side by side washer and dryer. Did you say it has to fit in the buggie?

No worries Mother of Three, I have made many a batch of flour tortillas. But, for daily consumption and the occasional quick fix, it takes much too long, especially in the absence of the essential tools necessary to meet my standard for tortillas. Besides, tortillas last a while in the freezer.

Cunao,

Well, I was being a bit glib about how easy it is to make tortillas. I have only ever made homemade arepas. And I agree that the process for arepas, which is not as a refined process as tortilla-making, is more labor-intensive than I like. But still....

Okay, Anne,
what are arepas?
