you could do this during summer

Dear QotD?ers,

mosquitoes. oh, when they get to me, it can be baaad.

Mom is here! She's going to have to entertain herself while we are at work tomorrow, but we get Friday off, so we can do all sorts of things*!

I was in training all day. They provided us with a donut breakfast and a chick-fil-a lunch. On my way from training to the plant, to pick up Justin, there was a small grass fire . There was a cop! but I don't know what he thought he'd get accomplished by himself.

Today's Question of the Day? is:
Have you ever been to a drive-in movie?

Love,
The Asker

*things may or may not include creating iron-on shirts for a movie premier next week.

No, but I've been planning on going to one for years. I just haven't made it to one yet!

Yes, once when I was in elementary school with a friend and her grandparents. I also went to the drive-in movie once in college, but only to pick up a clue for a scavenger hunt not to stay for the movie! Drive-in movies would not be very popular here in Houston with this heat!

Many times, in different countries and different states.

I remember wathcing 2001: A Space Odyssey at the drive-in Venezuela.

I have gone to drive-in in Miami, Chicago and Dallas.

There was a columnist back in the day named Joe Bob Briggs who critiques movies from drive-in theaters. He was hilarious, focused his reviews on B movies and quite was upset when the luxury mega theaters began to shut the drive-ins down. Clearly, you can be more of a comfortable redneck at the drive-in than in a subdued theater.

I've seen one drive in movie, in Gatesville. We went to see "Bring it On". It was an fun experience, but an odd movie for a drive-in, I think.

"Robots" in Lubbock. Kinda neat the first time.

I have also seen a lone officer along the road out here, except that time he was keeping an eye on a HUGE BULL that had gotten loose and was chowing down in an abandoned lot. The bull was head down, but aimed right at the car with it's lights flashing.

Yes......many times. As a child
my parents went to the drive in movie in Schulenburg(yes, they had a drive in movie theatre)....I think I would usually fall asleep.
In Del Rio, we went to see an 'all night' showing of all the Planet of the Apes movies.....that was in the 70's........ we went to see other movies....but nothing memorable. In El Paso I remember going to see Urban Cowboy......
There is a drive in movie theatre in Ennis, but we have not gone yet. We will wait for a cool night AND a movie we want to see.

Jackie, I should have gone to that one growing up... unless it's new

Husband, i was there : ]

Sabrina, well, you were doing an old-timey activity! Totally counts.
