rain

Dear QotD?ers,

My worst summer job was working for Anne. JUST KIDDING! I now love gel pens because of her. My worst summer job was an 'internship' for the Department of Justice. I reviewed performance appraisals and cross checked them to this book of print-outs. HUNDREDS AND HUNDREDS of these. The best part of the summer was when there was paper to shred. hooray! I went back for a few weeks during winter break, only to find they had mixed up my piles of 'COMPLETE!' and 'NOT COMPLETE!' and had to redo my work. boo.

Today's Question of the Day? is:
When is the last time you got soaked in the rain?

Love,
The Asker

I can't remember being soaked in the rain...that sounds like spontaneous fun or a scene from a movie!

Walking from the parking lot to school.
It happened this past spring.
It was raining hard one morning and I waited in the car until it mostly quit......or so I thought.
I had an umbrella, etc. etc.
Anyway, about 1/2 of the way into school, the 'bottom' fell out again
and with the wind inverting my umbrella.......well, I was soaked.
AND
laughing the whole time.
It was a scene from some movie.....

I went to the hand blower/dryer
in the bathroom and pretty much
dried my hair/clothes.....and told myself it would probably be a good idea to have a hair dryer at school.

Here in Wisconsin "soaked in the rain" takes some doing. Even downpours can't begin to compare to Texas rain. But! Measures of scale aside, it was Sunday! The sky was threatening, but we decided to run over to the not-really-a-dollar-store and see if they had any more moss rose for sale. They didn't, but it was Wisconsin pouring by the time we left the store. We jogged back to the apartment, hooting like loons.

I have been soaked by rain on several occassions, but I cannot remember the last time. It seems that Jessica and I got soaked once leaving Target, but I could not tell you whether that was six months or two years ago.

I didn't drive you mad by using a three syllable word incorrectly all the time, did I?

I would have hated the ES job. Okay, I still do. It is my least favorite job ever.

2nd Mom, usually it's running in between stores. that's usually not that movie magical.

Mom, I'm so glad you were laughing and that the school bathroom had hand dryers.

TamiJean, I can picture you and Mr. Steven running and laughing like a couple of crazy texans!

Anne, yup, shopping!
and no, you never drove me crazy with your language usage
