colors count.

Dear QotD?ers,

I have three things that I will share for the worst things that have happened in the past year:
1) Post partum depression.  This is number 1.  it's terrible.  (but i'm doing better!)
2) pregnancy.  it was terrible.  when you are hooked up to a drug pump, you know it's bad.  (but i'm doing better!)
3) missing the trip to brazil (because of #2)

Today's Question of the Day? is:

What's your favorite snow cone flavor?

Love,
The Asker

Silver Fox, unquestionably. It's a specialty flavor, so not all places have it, but it's delicious and vanilla and doesn't turn the "sno" into any crazy colors, so it looks like you're just eating ice. <3

When all adventure has left me, I order a raspberry cream....raspberry with a shot of half and half.

Here is an interesting theory. I read this marvelous book this summer about the evolution of motherhood. One theory on post partum depression is that new mothers are dosed with a hormone to make them protective. It also makes them suspicious and generally untrusting of anyone that they feel might take or harm their baby. For many women, this general distrust of all humanity, minus the ten people you can trust with your baby, results in a depression.

Hmmmm went my brain. Hmmmm. I can see that. I remember after Jake was born and people that I had known for years wanted to hold my son and I panicked. I did not want them holding my son, even when I knew that this was irrational. Hmmmmm. Interesting theory.

Are we talking about snow cones like you get at a school fair? In which case, I like red.

Or are we talking about the wonder of all wonders, shaved ice? In which case I like half vanilla, half wedding cake, with cream.

Anything red...cherry, strawberry...haven't had one of those in years.

Spearmint and nectar sounds delicious, although I've never had it or encountered it. It's been a while since I've had sno-cones so I'm gonna have to say red is my favorite color. OR a pickle juice sno-cone like I used to get when I played softball. YUM!

TamiJean, what, you don't LIKE the crazy colors? Does it just taste like vanilla? that sounds too boring for me.

Anne, ugh, raspberry. more for you!
My PPD showed up as severe anxiety. I trusted everyone else to do things better than me!

Jessi, I love that you know the difference and your answer changes based on the medium.

Stacy, spearment and necter? that sounds weird. what does the necter taste like?

Jeannie, with a grandchild, you will have to find the best snowcone place near your house. I bet E would love one next summer.

Amanda, pickle juices? BLECHCHHEHRHEARRARRRGGG
